Delivery of the First New Embraer Phenom 300E

On March 29, 2018, Embraer delivered the first new Phenom 300E business jet, having received its type certificate in the first quarter from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC – Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil).

The new aircraft, designated “E” for “Enhanced,” had an entirely redesigned cabin and the leading HD CMS/IFE (Cabin Management System/InFlight Entertainment) by Lufthansa Technik. Also, the Phenom 300E’s seats featured broader backs for greater support, extendable headrests with bolsters, and extendable leg rests for improved ergonomics.

The Phenom 300E, powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW535E engines with 3,200 pounds of thrust each, was capable of flying at 45,000 feet (13,716 meters). Among the top light jets, with a high speed cruise of 453 knots and a six-occupant range of 1,971 nautical miles (3,650 km) with NBAA IFR reserves, it also enabled single-pilot operation and offered the advanced Prodigy Touch Flight Deck, based on the acclaimed Garmin 3000 avionics suite. The aircraft’s features included single-point refueling, externally serviced lavatory, and an air stair. Photo credit: Embraer Media
